I have contacted my web-host again, but this time by e-mail. I’m explaining the situation and why I should get back the database free of charge. I have a feeling I won’t be getting the database recovered, but its definitely worth a try. Basically, what happened is that I was in my control panel and I somehow clicked a delete link for this particular database. It deleted without any confirmation what-so-ever. I’m thinking that my host may have set the control panel up like that on purpose in hopes of someone accidentally deleting their database and then paying the outrageous fee to have it recovered. If they don’t recover it, I might start looking for a new web-host to move over to.
Below is the first response I received.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us back.
I have forwarded this ticket to our technical staff for review.
Please note that our technical staff queue has a slightly longer turn around time for responses, as the tickets tend to require more in depth evaluation.
You will be notified when more information is available.
